I just love how the clouds look in this pic. I'm sad that my cement seahorse that I got at a steal from Ross fell over and cracked in 3 places. I'm still waiting for Rene to fix him somehow...
Here are a couple of pictures of Maddie's mulch pile. Once it's sifted, it makes it's way into bins. The next step is still on hold as the perlite I picked up from Blue Hills was just dust. :/
The grouping that sits to the side of the garage. The plant in the turquoise pot has the most vibrant blooms in the summer! Can't wait.
One of my favorite groupings. There are so many different plants here that, year round, there's something interesting that catches my eye. This time it's the cabbage looking plant.
Here's another view of that grouping.
Here are some cliippings from a milkweed plant. Just sitting in these cups and they are getting new leaves!
Some canna lilies popping up! Can you see them?
Maddy's work area. There's always something in the works. :)
She got these clippings from my brother David's house. We'll see how they come along. Just a little bit of his yard to keep those memories going. :)
I just love these little hanging blooms...and so do the hummingbirds!
This donkey tail is so cool!
Some views of the rest of the yard...
Yikes! My sunset is peeling. That was one of my favorite pallet paintings. I sure hope I can re-create it. I was kinda surprised how well I did the first time! I'm usually my own worst critic. haha
More fun plants.
Maddy's compost pile. This area behind the garage is where she keeps it along with several trash cans full. Of course, she also has some milkweed and Mexican bush sage back here for some beauty.
Another one of my favorite groupings by the pool.
This small grouping is fun. This flag is from my brother's house as well. :)
A milkweed plant is growing in a crack in the ground. Maddy spotted this little caterpillar!
On to the front yard! I see one of our Monarch's has hatched. Maddy acually found another chrysallis that has hatched but I didn't get a pic.
And...here's one that just hatched and is drying it's wings in the driveway. It's kind of small...
As I was taking pics, I walked down the porch and the hummingbird mama flew away...I had completely forgotten about her!! Oh well...it gave me the opportunity to take a pic of the nest. There are 2 eggs now!!!! So exciting. <3
Looking down the driveway, you can see this grouping. I can see the papyrus from my kitchen window. Took me awhile to get used to them...they kind of scared me at first. I kept thinking someone was out there! haha
The little birdies came from my brother's house too. I need to paint that faded tray they're in!
Up close on those plants that catch my eye! Hope you like them as much as I do. :)
That's all I could take pics of. There was a big van parked in front of my house so I couldn't get any pictures of the 3 planting beds Maddy has out there. :(
Have a Happy Valentine's Day everyone!
